Nationally honored Christian school providing excellence in education for students from age 3 through 8th grade. Immanuel has twice been awarded the prestigious Excellence in Education Blue Ribbon Award from the U.S. Department of Education. We are accredited by both the Illinois State Board of Education and National Lutheran School Accreditation. Immanuel strives to spiritually and academically nurture the children entrusted to us, equipping each child to be a responsible, effective Christian citizen for life. Our students and their parents are part of the Immanuel family. Our dedication to Christian values and learning ensures that all children know they are special.


Immanuel provides a rigorous academic curriculum. Project Based Learning and STEM activities teach students how to think outside of the box, follow a plan, and critically evaluate it to improve. Middle school students choose from a variety of elective classes in the fine arts or STEM fields. IPads, computers, and other digital tools are used by our students to gather information, develop projects, demonstrate mastery, communicate with others, and practice skills. Middle school students are each provided with a Chromebook laptop that they use both in the classroom and at home for their schoolwork. By using a variety of learning methods, students have the opportunity to engage, learn, and grow in knowledge and skills. We also offer resource assistance to meet individual students learning needs. The majority of our graduates place in Honors classes when they begin high school.

The mission of Immanuel Lutheran School is to partner with parents to prepare their children for Christian learning and service while pursuing a rigorous academic program in a disciplined, nurturing environment.

Immanuel offers many fine arts opportunities including art and music classes, band, school and holiday musicals, handbells, choir and after-school art classes. Immanuel regularly competes at the state level in basketball, cheerleading, cross country, volleyball, and track & field. Our cross country teams have won both State and National championships for boys and girls. Immanuel basketball teams have won a combined 15 State championships and 5 National Championships. Immanuel is credited with more State and National appearances than any other Lutheran school in the country. In addition to organized extracurricular athletics, Immanuel students participate in physical education classes every day. Training in group sports and activities is supplemented with personal health and fitness education, including the President's Challenge Program.
