Resurrection College Prep High School is built on a strong foundation of Catholic Christian traditions spanning over 90 years. At Resurrection we are totally focused on young women and their needs. We are committed to developing young women of faith to be confident, articulate, dynamic, inspiring and service oriented leaders who will help build stronger families, communities and places of work.

We are committed to providing a comprehensive academic program that will stretch students’ to reach their full potential and prepare them with the tools for a lifetime of learning. Our faculty are prepared to provide students with individualized support from additional assistance, to Advanced Placement, to college credit courses. Our unique Practicum Job Shadowing Program helps students explore first-hand, the careers that may be of interest to them.

Students have numerous extra-curricular opportunities that are available through athletics, the arts, clubs, and service, to learn and demonstrate leadership skills, teamwork, and self-confidence in a supportive and nurturing faith-based school community. Our modified A/B block schedule provides our teachers with the time to engage in in-depth learning and implement a variety of instructional best practices to address a student’s learning style.

Resurrection provides a learning environment that is engaging with opportunities for discourse, individual and teamwork, creative expression and self-reflection. This type of learning environment sparks new interests and builds self-confidence in the learner. Classes are taught by an extremely dedicated faculty, over half of whom possess a masters degree. Teachers further their skills through continuing education and professional development opportunities, offering our students the latest information and advanced teaching methods geared to how young women learn. Resurrection strives to maintain a vital curriculum, continually evolving to meet the changing needs of its student body. Curriculum is reviewed and refined annually with new courses implemented on an ongoing basis. Resurrection has a 100% college acceptance rate and students receive generous scholarships and awards from colleges and universities around the county.


Resurrection College Prep High School is proud to provide a well‐rounded college preparatory curriculum with extensive offerings in technology, mathematics, sciences, social sciences, English, world languages, art, music and drama. In addition to our regular and honors courses, we offer National College Board Advanced Placement courses in biology, chemistry, physics, psychology, world and US history, calculus, and statistics, and English.

To complement our strong academic focus, we strive to provide extensive enrichment experiences. We recognize and appreciate individual diversity and, therefore, provide a positive environment where we foster creativity, higher level thinking, problem solving, and open mindedness ‐ all within the context of a spiritual and value‐centered atmosphere.

ALL-GIRL ADVANTAGE HIGHER ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT Girls who attend single gender schools spend more time studying and doing homework, are more likely to give or receive tutoring, and are more likely to study in a group or with friends. Graduates of all-girl schools surpass their co-ed peers in reading, writing, and science and perform better than girls in co-ed schools on standardized tests. MORE INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION The culture of an all-girls school allows girls to display their intelligence, take risks and develop confidence in their own areas of strength. Girls who attend single-gender schools report that they are more confident about speaking, tackling problems, and expressing their ideas and had superior academic achievement, more confidence in their abilities and more positive attitudes toward academics. Researchers also found that in co-ed schools, girls are routinely called on less, receive less feedback and are less confident than boys. SUCCESS IN MATH, SCIENCE and TECHNOLOGY Girls who attend single gender schools report enjoying math more, found math less difficult, had significantly more positive attitudes toward science in general, and physics and chemistry in particular. “Girls in girls-only schools were about 40% more likely to take advanced science courses than were girls of comparable ability at co-ed schools.” Researchers also found that girls from single-gender schools pursue careers in math, science, and technology four times more often than do girls from co-ed schools. REDUCED GENDER STEREOTYPES Girls who attend single gender schools are more likely to take classes outside of their normal comfort zone and are more willing to take educational risks. Studies found that girls at single-gender schools had less stereotyped ideas about what women can and cannot do. Studies found that graduates of single-gender schools were more likely to go on to prestigious colleges and were more likely to aspire to graduate school or professional school. In fact, researchers found that both boys and girls have more educational opportunities when they attend a single-gender school. GREATER LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES 93% of graduates from all-girls schools reported that the schools provided greater leadership opportunities than co-ed schools. All-girls schools encourage girls to develop confidence in public speaking and allows girls to take ALL leadership positions in clubs, athletics and student government.

Athletics Twelve different sports are offered to students with a variety of competition levels.
