The Park School has offered an exceptional independent education to boys and girls in pre-kindergarten through ninth grade since 1888. Today, our diverse student body of over 560 students comes from the Boston metropolitan area to a beautiful 26-acre campus in Brookline, Massachusetts near Jamaica Pond. The mission of a school is the articulation of its purposes and objectives against which all of its activities are measured. The statement of Park's mission is also intended to embody the shared values of the community to which all subscribe. The cornerstone of Park's program is academic excellence combining both high standards of scholarship and the encouragement of each child to develop to his or her greatest potential. The school provides a nurturing environment in which children can develop curiosity, express creativity, appreciate the value of hard work and discipline, and experience the joy of learning. Park's faculty encourages individual students to strive for intellectual, physical and moral growth, and to become contributing members of the community.
Private schools, including parochial and boarding, are funded through tuition and fees. The cost varies from school to school, but most families pay tuition to attend them. Many private schools offer financial aid or discounts, so it's worthwhile to ask about these options.
