The Church of St. John the Evangelist was established on September 8, 1863 with the Reverend James Morris as the first resident pastor. We hope that this site will enhance the communication between home and school as well as provide newcomers an opportunity to explore the educational and spiritual programs St. John the Evangelist School offers. St. John the Evangelist School is dedicated to the total development of the individual child within a Catholic faith community. A dedicated staff fosters academic excellence, spiritual growth, and community service for all children. We focus on the faith formation of each student in order to help them develop fully their gifts and talents.
Private schools, including parochial and boarding, are funded through tuition and fees. The cost varies from school to school, but most families pay tuition to attend them. Many private schools offer financial aid or discounts, so it's worthwhile to ask about these options.
