NOVA School says

NOVA School's challenging curriculum and uniquely personal environment position students for life-long success. NOVA champions ethical and innovative problem solvers who reflect the school’s mission elements of respect, responsibility and active participation by improving the world through their actions, ideas and dedication.

What makes NOVA School unique is a broad cross-discipline honors education exposing students to more critical subjects than other middle schools, including math, science, language arts, history and geography, foreign language, visual arts, music, drama, and interesting electives like video game design, international cooking, journalism, and songwriting. This curriculum is integrated with a Social and Emotional Health program that builds essential teamwork skills and instills confidence in students.

NOVA School’s unique honors and personal growth curriculum helps ground students in knowledge, skills and healthy relationships to position them for life-long success. Key to the NOVA curriculum value is not only its breadth, but also how the faculty leverages every student's individual strengths in a subset of disciplines to realize great achievements across math, science, language arts, history, geography, foreign languages, visual arts, comprehensive music, technology, drama, inclusive athletics, and other areas of study. Immersing all students in these subjects and experiences helps create well-rounded graduates capable of solving complex issues utilizing multiple perspectives.

NOVA students learn subjects in ways that not only enable success on standardized tests, but also ensure understanding of how principles, equations, data, research, and advanced concepts are applied to find solutions and make meaningful connections across disciplines. NOVA students achieve high scores on AP, SAT and other tests, but more importantly, they have also positioned themselves for success wherever they go and whatever they choose to lead, innovate or solve throughout their lives.
