Overview

St. Paul's Nursery School & Kindergarten says

St. Paul's Lutheran Church Preschool, in historic Lutherville, Maryland, has offered a nurturing, academically challenging program in a Christian environment for more than 50 years. Our program offers classes for 2s, 3s, 4s, and Pre-K, with a variety of scheduling options (Early Birds 8:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m. and Stay & Play 12:00-3:00 p.m.). Class size varies from 7-20 children with two teachers in each class. It is our intention to provide an atmosphere of contentment in which each child can explore varied activities and make new discoveries. We are interested in each child's total growth: social, mental, emotional, physical and spiritual.

Curriculum

At St. Paul's Lutheran Church Preschool our curriculum provides the tools our teachers need to help our students reach their full potential. This age appropriate curriculum addresses all areas of development for preschool children: Language Development, Literacy, Social & Emotional Development, Cognitive Development (math, science, and creative arts) and Physical Development (gross & fine motor skills). In our daily schedule, we incorporate instruction focused on whole group, small group, and individual play based learning activities. Individual and group activities are designed to teach children to work independently and with others. Through these activities the children explore and expand their interests, express new thoughts and ideas, and develop feelings of security and success through positive classroom interactions.

Mission Statement

At our school, we believe every child is special and unique; every child is a gift from God to be loved, cherished, and adored. Our school admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin.
