We guide, challenge, and inspire children (age 5 through 5th grade) as they embark upon lifelong journeys of learning and Jewish engagement. Fostering intellectual curiosity, creativity, respect for diverse points of view, and joy in learning are core academic goals. Creating meaningful, tangible, and indelible Jewish experience is our core spiritual goal. As a community Jewish day school, SJCS is unaffiliated with a particular Jewish movement or philosophy. Our students learn in an egalitarian, co-educational setting, and our community is rooted in an inclusive approach that respects and values diversity of opinion and practice. The Seattle Jewish Primary School was created by parents who sought an excellent, egalitarian, Jewish day-school education for children in Seattle's Northend. SJCS provides an excellent, egalitarian, K-5 General and Judaic education that promotes Jewish identity and practice, respect for diversity, responsibility for our world and life-long learning.
