Since its establishment in 1970, The Children’s School has maintained a tradition of quality education. An independent, nonprofit elementary school, The Children’s School is a learning environment in which academic development is stressed with social and emotional growth. The atmosphere is a caring, nurturing one that fosters a deep sense of community. The Children's School is for students in grades Pre-Primary (three years old) through the sixth grade. At The Children’s School we stress strong interrelationships among students, faculty, parents and community. All people involved in The Children’s School community have the right and responsibility to share their ideas, their knowledge, and their feelings with each other. The school provides an environment which encourages open communication. The Children’s School administrators and faculty are committed to the fullest possible development of each child on many different planes including intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and cultural.
