St. Mary's of Medford says

St. Mary’s School provides a community in which intellectual curiosity and academic excellence combine with Catholic and democratic values to inspire and prepare responsible local, national, and global citizens. St. Mary's provides a rich environment dedicated to solid academic preparation for college, as well as the moral development of every student. Our highly qualified and caring faculty takes the time to get to know their students as individuals and to make them partners in learning through a lively and engaging curriculum. St. Mary's offers a full range of interscholastic athletics and a wide variety of clubs and other extra-curricular activities. St. Mary's is proud to announce a fifth consecutive Oregonian cup. The Oregonian Cup was established in 1999 to recognize overall excellence by schools in academics, activities, athletics, and sportsmanship. The Oregonian newspaper has sponsored the award since February 2002. The Oregonian Cup honors a school's students, teachers, coaches and the entire school community. Schools earn points based on their participation and finish in OSAA State Championships and for Top 10 finishes in the OSAA Academic All-State Program, sponsored by the Dairy Farmers of Oregon. A sportsmanship component, whereby schools are awarded points each season for having no ejections, is included as well. Our 11:1 student: teacher ratio and close-knit community make St. Mary's a place where students can feel free to be themselves and fulfill their academic and personal potentials.

Private schools, including parochial and boarding, are funded through tuition and fees. The cost varies from school to school, but most families pay tuition to attend them. Many private schools offer financial aid or discounts, so it's worthwhile to ask about these options.
