Overview

Overview

Stuart Hall for Boys says

At every level, from how we operate to how we interrelate, we pay special attention to how each boy learns best. Along with our sibling school, Convent of the Sacred Heart Elementary School, we strive to retain dedicated, student-focused faculty who know how students learn best, and put that expertise to use in our all-boys classrooms.

Curriculum

The Stuart Hall educational program is presented in two divisions: lower form (grades K-4) and middle form (5-8), each with its own dean to address all stages of growth and learning. The curriculum is collaboratively planned, written, and articulated across the grades.

Mission Statement

We share with the other members of the nationwide Network of Sacred Heart Schools five common goals and the commitment to educate to:

A personal and active faith in God, A deep respect for intellectual values, A social awareness which impels to action, The building of community as a Christian value, Personal growth in an atmosphere of wise freedom

Finance

Finance

Private schools, including parochial and boarding, are funded through tuition and fees. The cost varies from school to school, but most families pay tuition to attend them. Many private schools offer financial aid or discounts, so it's worthwhile to ask about these options.

Extracurriculars

The Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart education remind us that education extends far beyond the boundaries of the classroom. Educating the “whole child” means educating the spirit, the body, and the mind. Students are taught to build upon natural talents by enhancing the school curricular activities with extra-curricular activities, such as fine arts, sports, outdoor clubs, and leadership development opportunities. Some of the opportunities include student government, four-school orchestra, chorus, vocal ensemble, and drama, as well as a variety of sports teams and clubs.
