Valdez Elementary School says

Escuela Valdez is a Denver Public School with “Innovation” status. Valdez serves approximately 385 students in ECE (age 3 and 4) through 5th grade. Our Spanish-English dual-language program operates in ECE-5th. In addition to the dual-language model, the ECE/Kindergarten classes also operate a Montessori model.

Mission Statement

The mission of Valdez School is to serve families from diverse socioeconomic and linguistic backgrounds. Valdez students will graduate with linguistic, academic, and social skills so as to be successful and contributing, bilingual members of our diverse society and economy.



Public schools are supported through local, state, and federal funding, and do not charge tuition to students who attend them.
