Overview

Overview

Montessori Schoolhouse says

The Montessori Schoolhouse of Tucson has long ranked among Arizona's highest-rated public schools. Founded on the education principles originated by Maria Montessori, our beautiful classrooms provide hundreds of hands-on materials to engage and foster self-directed learners in an environment of mutual respect, cooperation and independence. In addition to language arts and math, our academic program includes world geography, a full science curriculum, history, story writing, social studies and the arts.

Curriculum

Dr. Maria Montessori's original research and observations show that children are highly motivated to learn, to understand themselves and the world around them and to master the skills required in all areas of life. Our curriculum and self-paced classroom environments are based on these principles, providing our students with a vast array of hands-on materials that enable them to learn each basic concept in all subject areas, to move fluidly from simple to complex ideas and relationships.

Mission Statement

The primary goals of The Montessori Schoolhouse are to instill self-confidence and independence, to promote concentration and a love of learning and to build a strong academic foundation in each child.

Finance

Finance

Public charter schools are supported through lower levels of direct, public funding, as well as though private subsidies. As with district public schools, they do not charge tuition to students who attend them.
