The Jewish Community High School of the Bay (JCHS) is a San Francisco private high school providing a college preparatory curriculum in general and Jewish Studies as well as an extensive enrichment program including the arts, athletics, college advising, community service, and experiential education. We are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.


JCHS' curriculum integrates areas including math and science, humanities and the arts, and Jewish Studies. This curriculum emphasizes the development of skills in textual reading, contextual understanding, writing and public speaking, logic and creative expression, experiential learning, and critical thinking. Our talented faculty draw on a wide array of innovative strategies to support student learning, and challenge each student to construct their own understanding of how the world works.
