The Montessori Community School enrolls students aged 18 months through 6th grade offering a uniquely authentic Montessori curriculum. Our Montessori classrooms are designed to meet the needs, interests and abilities of all the children in the class. The teachers create and adapt the environment with this community of children in mind. They modify the selection of educational materials available, the physical layout and the tone of the class, to best fit the ever-changing needs of the children. Our Montessori teachers, who serve as observers and guides in the classroom, are all Montessori trained and certified. Many of our teachers have been with us for over a decade and have upwards of twenty years experience with the Montessori method.


We offer a comprehensive and authentic Montessori curriculum for children aged 18 months through 6th grade promotes independence, responsibility, respect, community service, and a strong sense of self worth, while teaching academics and real world skills. Specialty classes, and enrichment courses are incorporated into the classroom time with such classes as Music, Dance, Theatre, Horticultural Studies, Environmental Expeditions, Spanish, Art, etc.

Since the school is a community-based organization, parents, specialists and experts in their field are continuously offering training and courses with a wide scope of topics and education.

Our enrichment programs are designed to provide children with a healthy sense of self, develop a sense of community, and to make connections with their natural and immediate environments. These programs are designed to assist our community of families in a variety of ways as well as enrich the child’s experience.
