St Francis Xavier School is a Catholic Community and we stand ready to serve all who desire a Catholic education in a safe, loving atmosphere. We value in a special way the partnership we have with parents in handing on of the faith and instilling high academic standards through our parish school. In faith, we are all called to realize our gifts of time, talent, and treasure and to express and to share these gifts through the various ministries with the whole community. We long to live out our parish mission of encountering the living Christ and bringing him to all through vibrant liturgy, lifelong Christian formation and social outreach.
We follow the diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph standards in developing our curriculum. We believe in educating the whole child and not just "teaching to the test". Using this approach, we consistently see students scoring at least one grade level above their age level when they take standardized tests. Students graduating from St. Francis are not just well educated and well formed students, but students who are prepared for the rigor of High School and College thanks the to skills they receive in their Middle School years.
The mission of St. Francis Xavier School is to partner with families to provide children with a strong foundation in academics and faith based on Catholic principles.
Private schools, including parochial and boarding, are funded through tuition and fees. The cost varies from school to school, but most families pay tuition to attend them. Many private schools offer financial aid or discounts, so it's worthwhile to ask about these options.
