The Painted Turtle’s mission is to provide a year-round, life-changing environment and authentic camp experience for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses. The Painted Turtle supports children’s medical needs, inspires them to reach beyond their illnesses, and provides care, education and respite for their families. All campers and families attend completely free of charge. Medial facility and medical providers on site Summer overnight camp Spring and Fall Family Weekend camps Ages 7-16 Our campers include children who have: Severe Asthma and Allergies, Severe Burns, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Gastrointestinal Tube Feeding Hemophilia, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Kidney Disease , Limb Deficiencies, Liver Disease, Lupus, Genetic Disorders, Metabolic Conditions, Mucopolysaccharidosis, Neuromuscular Disorders, Paraplegia, Primary Immunodeficiency Diseases, Rheumatic Diseases, Skeletal Dysplasia (dwarfism), Spina Bifida, Thalassemia, Total Parenteral Nutrition, von Willebrand disease Activities include: Aquatics, Equestrian, Fishing, Music & Performing Arts, Nature & Discovery, Archery , Arts & Crafts, Boating , Gym & Rock Climbing Wall, Ropes Courses, Team Building Initiatives, Woodshop
