Steven L.

I am a 2010 graduate of UT Austin with a Bachelor's in Finance. I am currently returning to UT to pursue a Master's in Computer Science. My goal is to become a software engineer for an innovative company so I can develop cutting-edge software technology. I have had experience tutoring middle school Algebra to students. I have also helped countless others in study groups for LSAT and SAT Test Prep, as well as Calculus courses. My LSAT score was in the 90th percentile and my SAT score was in the 98th percentile. I am excited about tutoring because I appreciate that moment of understanding when everything clicks and I want to bring that to my mentees. I believe it is important to figure out what you want in life and then strive to reach that goal. Therefore, my mentoring approach is all about motivation. The best motivation is self-motivation and I believe a person has to understand how doing well on tests or getting good grades allows him or her to have a better life in the future. Even so, sometimes studying can still be tough so I try to make learning interesting by using applicable examples and visual representations.Fun Facts: I enjoy being outdoors and especially enjoy playing sports outdoors. I love Austin's culture and the music scene here. I also enjoy trying new things because the biggest regrets are the chances that you didn't take.

Frog Tutoring says

In 2009, Roland Omene, a TCU bio-chemistry graduate, founded Frog Tutoring. The company originated in Fort Worth, TX, and is quickly expanding to cities all over the country. Frog Tutoring was founded under the belief that all students deserve tutoring regardless of age. We believe the first step in successful tutoring is finding the “right” tutor. That is why we only hire the top students and graduates from local colleges in the area. Each one of our well-trained tutors specializes in at least one area of expertise and is eager to aid in the academic success of the students they tutor. Frog Tutors are not just intelligent individuals, but role models who inspire their students to achieve success both academically and personally. - See more at: http://frogtutoring.com/about_us#sthash.ov47ISCO.dpuf
