I have been studying the guitar and bass for the last 30 years. While I studied music in college, I began to teach the guitar. After I completed my associates degree at Fullerton college in southern California, I went on to study and get my B.A. degree from Eugene Lang College, The New School for Social Research in New York City. I have always performed with music groups and ensembles - right now I play in flamenco duet, Two jazz groups and a blues band. I love to teach music and enjoy passing on the craft to those who enjoy music as well. *** Lesson Details *** When I first start with a student, I begin with building up their finger strength. Next I get the student involved with learning chords and scales. Then I get the student involved with learning songs, if the student has a certain musical artist they want to learn, the better. I am a very patient teacher especially if there is any learning disability. In a short time you will be playing the guitar or bass and will be able to entertain others with your new gift of music. *** Travel Equipment *** I expect my students to have a working instrument *** Specialties *** Jazz is the genre that I know best, then blues, classical guitar

Noodle says

Takelessons started as a platform to for music teachers, and is still strongest on that front. It provides tutors with organizational software designed to help track lessons, and so probably attracts more tech-friendly, highly organized tutors. No vetting or training is provided for tutors, so we highly recommend that you use their ratings and reviews when selecting a tutor.

TakeLessons says

Success in learning often depends on finding the right teacher; someone that not only has expertise in the subject, but also knows how to inspire. The teaching style that works for one student may not work for another. As a parent or student, how do you find the right match? As a teacher, how do you find new students that fit your style? TakeLessons bridges this gap.
