I grew up in Canada and moved to Plano when I was a high school sophomore. I attended Plano Senior High School and went back to Canada to attend University of British Columbia, one of Canada's top three universities. Currently, I'm enrolled in the nursing program at York University in Canada. I'm excited to be a nurse! During my undergraduate, I worked previously as a tutor and loved the experience. I loved the explaining and using of different concepts to make children understand. I tutored students from 5 to 18 years old, and especially enjoyed tutoring geometry and chemistry. Making pieces of the puzzle fit inside a student's mind is highly rewarding. I believe the best way to aid someone in learning is to fully understand their thought process. Understanding and recognizing where the mistake is occurring within their thinking is the most effective way to correct and improve one's learning. By doing so, I can make logical improvements to their knowledge bank. I take careful consideration not to place too much pressure on a student and try my best to make them feel comfortable. It is also a good idea to teach students different ways to organize, memorize and manage their school work. Fun Facts: One thing people would find surprising about me is that I love singing! Singing in the shower is one of my most crucial activities. I would sometimes hit up karaoke alone just to practice and be able to sing at the top of my lungs. There's just so much satisfaction when I perfect the high notes! I also like reading manga, dancing and munching on food.
