I absolutely LOVE teaching piano. I use a 'Lab' concept ("Lakewood Piano Lab") and every single lesson is exciting, fun, and effective, both for me and for each student. I started teaching piano with one student in 1998, and went full time in 2002. We learn pieces by ear, we learn to read music well (all styles of music), we learn interpretation and musicianship, we learn how to play the piano easily without injury, we improvise, we jam. Annual spring recitals are optional, and are open to all students. My studio presents a friendly space for lessons. There is an adjoining, comfortable waiting room for parents, siblings, nannies. "I am committed to learning with students. I am constantly curious what is best for each student. I am so grateful for students who continue studying with me year after year." *** Studio Equipment *** STUDIO: Yamaha acoustic piano, Kohler and Campbell acoustic piano, Roland Keyboard, Yamaha Keyboard, Conga Drums, various percussion, Soft Mozart computer games, Music Ace Deluxe software, marker board, soft conducting batons, space for moving around.... About

Noodle says

Takelessons started as a platform to for music teachers, and is still strongest on that front. It provides tutors with organizational software designed to help track lessons, and so probably attracts more tech-friendly, highly organized tutors. No vetting or training is provided for tutors, so we highly recommend that you use their ratings and reviews when selecting a tutor.

TakeLessons says

Success in learning often depends on finding the right teacher; someone that not only has expertise in the subject, but also knows how to inspire. The teaching style that works for one student may not work for another. As a parent or student, how do you find the right match? As a teacher, how do you find new students that fit your style? TakeLessons bridges this gap.
