I have been teaching music for 27 years and playing drums professionally for 33 years. I have a Masters Degree in Music Education from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor of Music from Michigan State University. I currently play drums in 2 professional bands and a contemporary praise band. I also make and repair drums, heads, skins, etc. I can also teach you these skills. I have a complete music studio with full drum set, double bass pedals, djembe's, dumbek, bohdron, latin percussion, sound system, guitars, bass, keyboards, amps and various hand percussion instruments. When you are ready for the next step in your lessons we can add other musicians to play guitar etc. along with you to give you some ensemble experience. I have a large waiting area and lots of free parking space. My facility has a restroom and siblings are welcome if supervised by an adult. *** Lesson Details *** I will teach you the basics to begin playing drums or piano or keyboard. After you learn some basic technique, you can learn as much as you wish. I would be able to teach you how to play all styles, beats, rhythms and how to read music. If you just want to learn to play in your friends band and just get enough skill for that, I can do that too. You are my client and the boss. I will do what you want. I can also teach you how to program a synthesizer to create sounds and sequences. *** Studio Equipment *** 9 piece vintage Tama Imperial Star set with double bass drum pedal, 3 djembes, 2 bodhrons, dumbek, Latin instruments, snare, acoustic piano, keyboards, bass, guitar, full sound system, restroom, waiting room, free parking. AC and heated. *** Specialties *** Rock, Jazz, Latin, Punk, Country, Classical, Caribbean, Irish, reading music, vocals, theory, repairs and making percussion instruments.
