I am a junior Economics and Political Science major with a minor in History at the University of Louisville. I am actively involved on campus with intramurals, student organizations, and my sorority. I have been on the dean’s list the past three years for both the college of Arts and Sciences and Business, and I was a honor student in high school. I am currently examining my future career path, but I hope to stay in Louisville after my ungrad is complete. I have a passion for teaching. I started tutoring girls in my high school when I was a freshman. But I decided that I had a true passion for it as a freshman in college when I started to volunteer at the Americana Community Center. I tutored refugees in basic subjects such as English/ Writing, American History, and Math. I absolutely loved seeing the realization of understanding in their eyes as they got concepts we have learned to take for granted. My tutoring approach is that no one as the same learning style. If we did then we would not need tutors. When I begin tutoring a student I like to find out how they best learn information, then I design the lesson plan around their learning style. I like to make each session unique to the student. Fun Facts: I have a passion for caring for special needs children because of their unique innocence. In my rare free time, I love to read new books. I am a very proud sister in Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. I attend Catholic schools for 12 years, and my high school was an all girls school. My favorite colors are green and blue.
