I am a sophomore government major at The University of Texas. Last spring, I received an Academic Achievement Award from Texas Interdisciplinary Scholars program that I was selected to be in. After I graduate, I plan on attend The University of Texas Law School and eventually becoming an attorney in the state of Texas. My dream in life is to one day run for public office. I have a younger brother, so growing up I constantly had to tutor him in any subject that he was struggling in. I would help him with his homework and projects. My sophomore year of high school, I tutor a 6th grader in any subject she needed help in. We would solve her homework problems, and I would make sure she understood the material that she was learning in class. I enjoy knowing I helped a student take one more step in achieving their goals, and Frog Tutoring has allowed me to continue this passion in college. Growing up, I noticed that I learn differently from the person sitting next to me, and that the person next to them also learns differently that I do. Each student understands material in different manners. Some learn by seeing examples, other by real life experiences, and some students just need repetition. I was fortunate enough to have teachers that allowed me to learn in a way that best suited my learning abilities, and I hope to give students that same opportunity that I received. Fun Facts: Many people may not know this about me, but I love to play golf! I enjoy traveling the country and seeing the world. Anytime I can be outdoors and soaking up the sun is when I'm happiest!
