Rini P.

I'm a senior Biology major at Arizona State University and a student in Barrett,The Honors College. This fall, I'm going to be a research assistant in a psychology lab. After I graduate, I hope to either be admitted into a biology or psychology graduate program. I started tutoring my senior year of high school.I tutored middle school students biweekly in subjects ranging from algebra to Spanish. It was incredibly rewarding to mentor the students and to see their progress. Last fall semester, I worked as a Supplemental (SI) Leader at Arizona State University. I helped students with General Chemistry I by leading three 1-hour group-study sessions every week and coordinating five exam reviews. I took notes during chemistry lecture, prepared lesson materials, and taught students effective study skills. I think it is important for students to not only understand the course material but to develop problem solving and critical thinking skills that they apply to other classes. I encourage students to ask questions, explain concepts in their own words, and to see how various concepts are related. When I tutor students, I make sure to help them develop confidence in their abilities. Fun Facts: One of my greatest passions in life is music. I've played piano ever since I was eight. I'm currently teaching myself how to play guitar. I also like to draw and paint for fun. I have an art website (http://www.secret-explorer.deviantart.com/). I'm also a bookworm. Some of my favorite books include The Great Gatsby, Cat's Cradle, Catcher in the Rye, and the Harry Potter series.

Frog Tutoring says

In 2009, Roland Omene, a TCU bio-chemistry graduate, founded Frog Tutoring. The company originated in Fort Worth, TX, and is quickly expanding to cities all over the country. Frog Tutoring was founded under the belief that all students deserve tutoring regardless of age. We believe the first step in successful tutoring is finding the “right” tutor. That is why we only hire the top students and graduates from local colleges in the area. Each one of our well-trained tutors specializes in at least one area of expertise and is eager to aid in the academic success of the students they tutor. Frog Tutors are not just intelligent individuals, but role models who inspire their students to achieve success both academically and personally. - See more at: http://frogtutoring.com/about_us#sthash.ov47ISCO.dpuf
