I am an aspiring Biology major at the University of Washington. However, I also enjoy delving into the humanities-- such as psychology, history, and philosophy. When I graduate, I hope to pursue a career in the medical field. My dream is to find a job that I am passionate about. As part of a mission trip in the summer of 2010, I travelled with my church to South Korea, where I taught rural schoolchildren basic English. I also have experience in tutoring math and SAT prep to both middle school and high school students. I love to interact with students and as a new member of Frog Tutoring, I am very excited to provide my services to those who seek them. I myself have had a myriad of tutors, and while some have worked well with me, others have not. I believe the most important step in achieving a successful tutoring experience is establishing a genuine relationship between the tutor and the student. As a tutor, I want to work hard to foster an optimistic and perseverant attitude in my students, and teach them to never give up, no matter how lost they may feel. I believe in the importance of setting up responsible study habits, being patient and encouraging, and maximizing the student's academic potential.Fun Facts: I LOVE to read. For me, reading is a way to escape reality and explore my imagination. Some of my favorite books are Death of a Salesman, The Great Gatsby, And Then There Were None, and of course the Harry Potter series :) I also have played the harp for over ten years, and though I am very athletically challenged, I enjoy playing squash recreationally.
