I am thoroughly excited to be a part of Ivy Bound. I am a patient teacher, and I know that each student understands material in a slightly different way. I am willing and able to tailor each lesson to the student’s needs, and I am determined to help each and every student succeed. Qualifications include: SAT Math: 730 Reading: 800 Writing: 760 SAT Subject Tests Chemistry: 790 Math II: 710 AP Calculus AB: 5 Chemistry: 5 English Literature: 5 Psychology: 5 Physics B: 5 EXPERIENCE Third Grade Teaching Assistant at the Maimonides School in Brookline, MA (current): I work with the students in small groups and one-on-one in an all-Hebrew classroom. The students learn Hebrew reading, writing, speaking, Jewish values, and general Jewish knowledge. Jewish Studies Educator (Summer 2014): At Camp Ramah in Wisconsin, I taught campers a variety of Judaic subjects, and created lessons involving discussion, skits, art, and journaling. I planned curriculum and articulated educational goals for the campers and professional development sessions twice a week. Private Tutor (2012-2013): In addition to a summer of SAT instruction with Ivy Bound, I also have experience creating individualized lessons for younger students in the areas of Judaics and Womenâ™s Studies. Writing Center Tutor (2012): During my senior year at the University of Maryland, I worked one-on-one with college students who needed help with their papers and essays. Students brought assignments from a wide range of classes, and I met with them at any point in the process, whether it was brainstorming, drafting, revising, or giving a final read-through. Teaching Assistant at William H. Hall High School (2012): In a semester-long observation and experiential program, I sat in on numerous high school English courses, assisted in designing effective lesson plans for the English Department, and worked with students one-on-one to help them develop ideas for writing assignments.
