Naxhije B.

I'm a junior at Hunter College majoring in chemistry/biochemistry. So far, my major GPA is 4.0. After graduation, I hope to pursue a PhD in chemistry. My ultimate goal is to learn something new everyday!!! (btw, my nickname is Gia or Jia, whichever is easier to remember) I've been officially tutoring for 6 years so far. As a member of the Math National Honors Society, I tutored algebra, geometry, trig and calculus a few hours daily for 3 years. As a senior in high school, I fell in love with chemistry and started regularly tutoring in the subject. In college I've worked in both math and science tutoring centers available in the school, with more emphasis on Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. My approach is primarily visual, as I find students grasp concepts more easily this way. I like to ask a lot of questions to make sure the student understands the topic. Moreover, I have students paraphrase what they have learned in their own words to help internalize concepts.Fun Facts: I'm very musically inclined. I play the clarinet and sing a LOT, even though I'm tone deaf. It's a great thing to do to relieve stress and loads of fun!!! I'm also interested in learning about computer science, programming and modelling.

Frog Tutoring says

In 2009, Roland Omene, a TCU bio-chemistry graduate, founded Frog Tutoring. The company originated in Fort Worth, TX, and is quickly expanding to cities all over the country. Frog Tutoring was founded under the belief that all students deserve tutoring regardless of age. We believe the first step in successful tutoring is finding the “right” tutor. That is why we only hire the top students and graduates from local colleges in the area. Each one of our well-trained tutors specializes in at least one area of expertise and is eager to aid in the academic success of the students they tutor. Frog Tutors are not just intelligent individuals, but role models who inspire their students to achieve success both academically and personally. - See more at: http://frogtutoring.com/about_us#sthash.ov47ISCO.dpuf
