From the time I was a small child I have loved music, and from the age of six knew I would become a teacher. I began private piano instruction at the age of six and continued through college until the present. In middle school I began playing for school functions, churches and community events. During my college years I was chosen to be the musical director of a six member Teen Team that toured many countries in Europe giving high school assemblies and concerts for Youth for Christ International. Later I also toured many years in the U.S.A. with other groups and now it still gives me great joy and pleasure to play for churches, schools and other organizations. After college I began my teaching career and was introduced to the Pace Approach to piano instruction. I am very fortunate to have received the intensive training and study required to teach this amazing piano method. It has been extremely effective with all my students for many years. Later I discovered Pattern/Chord Play€ the piano series on improvisation and arranging authored by Forrest and Akiko Kinney. I have been studying with him for the past three years on how to teach improvisation and arranging. It has been an awesome privilege to work with him and other teachers in my area. I will continue to teach piano for many years. I LOVE it!! *** Lesson Details *** The studio has a warm, friendly setting where you will receive positive encouragement to reach your musical goals. Noodle says

Takelessons started as a platform to for music teachers, and is still strongest on that front. It provides tutors with organizational software designed to help track lessons, and so probably attracts more tech-friendly, highly organized tutors. No vetting or training is provided for tutors, so we highly recommend that you use their ratings and reviews when selecting a tutor.

TakeLessons says

Success in learning often depends on finding the right teacher; someone that not only has expertise in the subject, but also knows how to inspire. The teaching style that works for one student may not work for another. As a parent or student, how do you find the right match? As a teacher, how do you find new students that fit your style? TakeLessons bridges this gap.
