Sarah H.

Hi! My name is Sarah and I'm from Houston, Texas. I recently earned a BS in Applied Math from Georgia Tech and will be continuing my education this fall by pursuing a Master's in Operations Research. I have always loved being a student and am excited to continue learning new skills. I worked at Mathnasium, a math tutoring center, for over a year while in high school. After coming to Georgia Tech, I began tutoring at Grady High School to help prepare students for standardized tests, including AP Exams. I have also helped numerous friends succeed in rigorous math courses here at Tech. Most concepts, especially when it comes to math, can be broken down into what a student already knows and is confident in. Once the basics are mastered, new and seemingly scary problems become easier to understand and less frustrating - so I always work backwards and make sure the foundation is solid. Other tutoring methods I use include mnemonic devices, repetition, and lots and lots of practice. Fun Facts: I'm a total math nerd and can recite over 100 digits of pi! I also love running and have competed in a number of races in Atlanta, and am currently training for my first marathon. I come from a family of scientists and engineers, and am so excited to one day use my math degree to work on improving and optimizing systems.

Frog Tutoring says

In 2009, Roland Omene, a TCU bio-chemistry graduate, founded Frog Tutoring. The company originated in Fort Worth, TX, and is quickly expanding to cities all over the country. Frog Tutoring was founded under the belief that all students deserve tutoring regardless of age. We believe the first step in successful tutoring is finding the “right” tutor. That is why we only hire the top students and graduates from local colleges in the area. Each one of our well-trained tutors specializes in at least one area of expertise and is eager to aid in the academic success of the students they tutor. Frog Tutors are not just intelligent individuals, but role models who inspire their students to achieve success both academically and personally. - See more at: http://frogtutoring.com/about_us#sthash.ov47ISCO.dpuf
