Paul W.

I am a sophomore Business major at Texas Christian University. I have a 3.67 GPA and I am on the Deans List and a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. After I graduate I plan to pursue a career in business. My ultimate goal is to have a career that allows me to travel, see the world and work with people. In high school I was a member of the Beta Club and National Honors Society. Through these programs I had the opportunity to tutor students and found that I have a passion for tutoring. When coming to TCU I wanted to get involved in some form of teaching, so I volunteered at Kinder Frogs an elementary school for special needs students. As a kid, I found that I had a hard time learning in certain environments. A very influential teacher of mine taught me that there are different types of learners and that I was a kinesthetic learner. I have learned over the years how to determine what kind of a learner each student is and I use that skill to shape the way I teach each student. If a student of mine is having trouble or getting frustrated with a certain problem I know how to help them relax and work through the answer in a different way. Fun Facts: I am very active and love to play sports. I play lacrosse at TCU and I am also on the wakeboard team. I compete in the junior pro wakeboard division and plan to go pro within the next few years. I am from Atlanta, but now feel as if my home is Texas. I am very passionate about extreme sports such as snowboarding, surfing and long boarding and pretty much anything you can ride!

Frog Tutoring says

In 2009, Roland Omene, a TCU bio-chemistry graduate, founded Frog Tutoring. The company originated in Fort Worth, TX, and is quickly expanding to cities all over the country. Frog Tutoring was founded under the belief that all students deserve tutoring regardless of age. We believe the first step in successful tutoring is finding the “right” tutor. That is why we only hire the top students and graduates from local colleges in the area. Each one of our well-trained tutors specializes in at least one area of expertise and is eager to aid in the academic success of the students they tutor. Frog Tutors are not just intelligent individuals, but role models who inspire their students to achieve success both academically and personally. - See more at: http://frogtutoring.com/about_us#sthash.ov47ISCO.dpuf
