I am a senior at Barrett the Honors College at ASU. I am studying Psychology and will be applying to graduate school in a few months. My goal is to become a clinical psychologist with an emphasis on children and school psychology. I currently tutor college students at ASU's west campus in Glendale, AZ. I love helping other students unlock their potential. Whether I am working with a study group or individually, I work to make sure the student(s) understand one concept before moving on to the next. My goal is to help each student understand their class material and improve their grades. When a student no longer needs my service, I have done my job! I not only aim to assist with current assignments, but to help them learn how to learn. I have had to work hard to get where I am, stumbling along the way. I was a slow learner, always one step behind the class until I was in 4th grade. That was the year I learned how to learn. My teacher unlocked the door and helped me find my learning style. From that time on, I was no longer behind the others; I advanced and became an honors student. My hope is to help others find their learning style, to unlock the potential in each one. Fun Facts: I love working with other people! I have a 6 year old daughter as well as a teenage step-son. My days usually begin with tutoring college students and end with helping my daughter with her homework. I love to get silly and play Barbie's or beauty parlor with my daughter. Last year I was able to spend Fridays in my daughters Kindergarten class. Being able to play with a class of 5 year olds and help them with their work was a wonderful way to cap off my week.
