I am studying Chemical Engineering at University of Houston with a GPA of about 3.5. This is my junior year. I have couple of Co-op experiences with different companies in my field. During my co-op I learned lots of things that you need besides school and I look forward to joining the work force after graduation. I was a President of an organization on campus and we did very well that year. We went to Florida (Disney World) for our Regional Congress and we all had fun. I worked at the University of Houston Tutoring Center for about 2 years. While there I tutored lots of Math courses starting from basic math to Calculus II. I also tutored Chemistry I-II, Accounting, and Geology. During my high school senior year I was an AVID tutor, which helps students think critically and get ready for their college career. My tutoring approach is very simple: I like to relate student questions to real world so they can visualize or better understand. My aim is not just getting the answer but to explain the concept and help them understand it. After that, getting the answer is a piece of cake. I put equal emphasis on conceptual and quantitative materials which helps students to retain it for long time. During tutoring session I expect students to have their notes and books with them, that makes it easier for both of us what and where to look for reference/ formulas. Fun Facts: Besides being an Engineering student I love outdoor activities, dancing, and talking about different ideas. I am a big fan of football. I am rooting for Denver Broncos this year, no offense to anyone who is not a fan of Broncos. I would like to work internationally after I graduate. I am doing Business minor focused on International Business, I have lots of business idea and loves networking to increase knowledge about the industry.
