Adrienne L.

I was born in St. Louis, Missouri, then moved to Torrance, California 7 years later. The summer before 5th grade I moved to Huntington Beach and my family still resides there. I now attend Chapman University as a Business Major and Music - Piano Minor. My parents are 1.5 generation Koreans and I am 2nd generation. I am 19 years of age, a Libra and an optimist. My first experience was volunteering as an Elementary/Middle School student tutor at the Central Library in Huntington Beach. I also tutored a Freshman in High School in Algebra my Junior year in High School. I look forward to having the opportunity to help more students strive in their classes. In my experiences, I always approached my students with a lot of kindness and positivity. After asking the student what they need help with, I have them show me examples or their homework and ask them to try to explain or do the problem first. If/when they get stuck I start giving them some hints and try to explain what they did wrong or what they would need to do next. Throughout the tutoring time, I encourage the student to keep trying and congratulate them when they do something correctly. Fun Facts: I am absolutely obsessed with my two pups, love the outdoors and doing fun adventurous things. I always love meeting new people and doing new things, enjoy playing the piano and drawing in my free time. Helping and giving back to the homeless is my favorite, and I love traveling!

Frog Tutoring says

In 2009, Roland Omene, a TCU bio-chemistry graduate, founded Frog Tutoring. The company originated in Fort Worth, TX, and is quickly expanding to cities all over the country. Frog Tutoring was founded under the belief that all students deserve tutoring regardless of age. We believe the first step in successful tutoring is finding the “right” tutor. That is why we only hire the top students and graduates from local colleges in the area. Each one of our well-trained tutors specializes in at least one area of expertise and is eager to aid in the academic success of the students they tutor. Frog Tutors are not just intelligent individuals, but role models who inspire their students to achieve success both academically and personally. - See more at: http://frogtutoring.com/about_us#sthash.ov47ISCO.dpuf
