I have been in the entertainment business since I was 7 years old, appearing in the movie "Here We Go Round The Mulberry Bush". I did a 4 year degree course at The University Of Hertfordshire in Musical Theater and went on to be a hit songwriter. In the 90's I was signed by Simon Cowell to his record company in London. I also sang back up for Sir Paul McCartney and The Spice Girls. As a teacher, I am supportive and encouraging. Being a singer myself I understand how to maintain my voice amid the stresses of being working vocalist. Students will benefit from my experience and my teaching technique. *** Lesson Details *** I have been told by my students that am as much a coach as I am an instructor. I make lessons fun and informative. I am always respectful and understand that students progress at different speeds. After 3 months with me students can expect to have better pitch, better breath control and more confidence all round. I use my own curriculum and record each student to CD. This means the student can take the lesson home and continue the learning process there. *** Studio Equipment *** Garage converted into music/recording studio with fully weighted keyboard. Parents can sit on lessons, and waiting area available. Has a dog. Accessible parking on street. *** Specialties *** I teach all styles except classical voice. I record and produce my students voice. We work together on producing a CD of ten or more songs. I specialize in teaching rock, pop styles as well as musical theater. I also teach students the art of songwriting and programming.

Noodle says

Takelessons started as a platform to for music teachers, and is still strongest on that front. It provides tutors with organizational software designed to help track lessons, and so probably attracts more tech-friendly, highly organized tutors. No vetting or training is provided for tutors, so we highly recommend that you use their ratings and reviews when selecting a tutor.

TakeLessons says

Success in learning often depends on finding the right teacher; someone that not only has expertise in the subject, but also knows how to inspire. The teaching style that works for one student may not work for another. As a parent or student, how do you find the right match? As a teacher, how do you find new students that fit your style? TakeLessons bridges this gap.
