My tutoring methods are unique as I have the experience and knowledge to help a large variety of students in a variety of subjects. My main goal is to express information in a way that makes sense to the student I am working with, and I know that this way is not always the way I understand it. Through working with students I have learned how to adapt what I am teaching to make it work for each student and their individual academic needs. Each person learns in a different way and my goal is to identify the most efficient way of learning for each student and use this to teach the them the subject at hand. I strive to be friendly, organized, and helpful for each of the students I work with. I am also a lifeguard and swim instructor which gives me the benefit of having experience working with a wide range of students. Due to my Water Safety Instructor Certification I have been schooled in how to work with children with disabilities including those listed above. I have also had the opportunity to work with students who have each of the above disabilities. I enjoy working with students who have a variety of backgrounds as it allows me to utilize the skills I have obtained through my teaching experience and help students reach their personal goals. As for myself, I grew up in Aspen Colorado riding horses and doing 4-H. I completed my undergraduate studies at Whitman College and have returned to Colorado to finish my education goals. I am currently a PhD student in Economics at Colorado State University. I would like to be a college professor in the future. I grew up the oldest of 3 children and had a very active childhood. I love animals and the outdoors. I look forward to working with you and your child.
