Ebony S.

I am currently a junior studying to be a teacher. I am interested in teaching early elementary. I believe all students are capable of learning if provided with the right tools. I spent a year tutoring in an under resourced middle school. I was responsible for providing in class tutoring, as well as small group tutoring. I currently volunteer helping Arabic speaking students strengthen their English skills. My aim as a tutor is to provide a comfortable climate where students can receive individualized help. I build on the students' prior knowledge so the student can use what he or she already knows to complete the assignment. I have noticed that this approach also builds confidence. I believe in using additional resources to help the child learn, because I understand the textbook may not be enough to reach the child.Fun Facts: I enjoy playing my clarinet in my free time. When I was in high school I played in the band and orchestra. I also enjoy volunteering in my community to help those in need.

Frog Tutoring says

In 2009, Roland Omene, a TCU bio-chemistry graduate, founded Frog Tutoring. The company originated in Fort Worth, TX, and is quickly expanding to cities all over the country. Frog Tutoring was founded under the belief that all students deserve tutoring regardless of age. We believe the first step in successful tutoring is finding the “right” tutor. That is why we only hire the top students and graduates from local colleges in the area. Each one of our well-trained tutors specializes in at least one area of expertise and is eager to aid in the academic success of the students they tutor. Frog Tutors are not just intelligent individuals, but role models who inspire their students to achieve success both academically and personally. - See more at: http://frogtutoring.com/about_us#sthash.ov47ISCO.dpuf
