Diamonds in the Rust: Liz Colombo at TEDxOhioStateUniversity

Liz is a Masters Student at Ohio State with dual degrees in City and Regional Planning and Public Management. She is a Graduate Research Associate at the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity where she works in the Communities of Opportunity Department. Prior to graduate school, Liz was a community organizer at a community development corporation, Working In Neighborhoods (WIN), in Cincinnati where she worked primarily on housing issues such as foreclosure, vacant properties, and predatory lending. Liz graduated from Xavier University in 2008 with a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and the Public. Liz is originally from St. Louis.In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
