Download the Product Connect plugin for Google SketchUp from[Transcript]In this video, we'll explore the features that are built into Product Connect's Report Maker tool.To follow along, you can start by downloading the Quincy Kitchen Vignette from the 3D Warehouse. This file is one of a few that we've uploaded to the Product Connect Gallery collection on the Warehouse - which includes some project files that you can use to test Product Connect. In order for things to work the same for you as they do for me, you'll want to download the file and then open it in SketchUp. If you use Get Products, or otherwise import the model, you'll get different results. When you click Report Maker, the tool scans your model for Product Connect enabled components, a process which may take a few seconds, depending on the complexity of the model.Keep in mind, when using Report Maker, that you have the option to pre-select specific components in the model, in which case, Report Maker will list the selected items only. With nothing selected, Report Maker will report on all of the Product Connect enabled components it finds in the model.Once Report Maker is finished scanning the model, The Review pane will load a preview of the components that it finds, and their corresponding product schedules will be checked. You can check or un-check any of the schedules in the list -- and in the pull-down menu in the top left corner, you'll find shortcuts for select all, select none, or default. To the right you'll see a few columns with links that route you through to web pages with additional information ---- and specifications for the listed products. There's also an edit link, that opens a Product Editor dialog so that you can the information about that specific component or material. When you're ready, click Create Reports.Report Maker will ask you to pick a location for the saved reports, which will be output in CSV format. After saving the files, Report Maker displays a message confirming that the export was successful, and provides a handy link to the folder where the reports were saved. You can then open and edit the CSV files in a spreadsheet application such as Excel, MAC Numbers or Google Spreadsheets.Download. Edit.
