Using the Cut Command - Pro Tools 9

Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: The cut command function can be an easy way to move sections around your Pro Tools session. It's different from copying and pasting because it deletes the section from its original paste, keeps a copy of it and allows you to paste it somewhere else.? First select the area of the track that you want to relocate. Do this with the selector tool by clicking and dragging your cursor over the area to be cut.? Once the section is highlighted, press Apple+X or go to Edit--Cut. The selection will be removed from the track.? Now place your play marker in the exact location where you want to move the section. Press Apple+V?or go to Edit--Paste. The section will be pasted onto the track where your marker is.?
