Enabling Groups - Pro Tools 9

Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: Groups in Pro Tools are clusters of multiple tracks assembled together to make editing easier. The Groups panel is located at the lower left corner of the edit window and can be viewed by toggling the small arrow at the lower left corner of the screen. Enabling and disabling a group is as simple as clicking on a group's name in the panel. If it's highlighted, the group is enabled. If it's not highlighted, the group is disabled. Disabling a group allows you to select the individual tracks within that group and modify them without affecting the rest of the tracks in the group. Also, if you click the a-z icon at the top right corner of the Groups panel, you will allow keyboard shortcuts to be used for enabling and disabling groups.? For instance, with the a-z icon highlighted yellow, you can enable or disable a group by pressing the correct keyboard letter associated with that group (i.e. Drums -- a, Gtr3 -- d, etc.).
