Tracy Morgan Apologizes for Gay Bashing

Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: Like us on Facebook! Visit the official Mahalo page: "30 Rock" star Tracy Morgan is issuing apologies for a homophobic rant. On Friday, June 3, 2011 the former "SNL" comedian was performing at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee when he ranted and raved against the gay community. Audience members reported via social networks that the 42 year-old was so offensive, some people walked out. Among the hateful sound-bytes: "Gays need to quit (censored) whining about something as insignificant as bullying." "Gay is something kids learn from the media and programming." "If my son is gay he better come home and talk to me like a man... or I will pull out a knife and stab that little (N-word) to death." Not surprisingly, GLAAD and The Human Rights Campaign did not find Morgan's jokes very funny. They demanded the comedian apologize for his outburst, and on Friday, June 10 he has responded: "I want to apologize to my fans and the gay and lesbian community... I'm not a hateful person and don't condone any kind of violence against others... even in a comedy club this clearly went too far and was not funny in any context." Sources:
