At a GlancePace Law School, founded in 1976, has over 7,000 alumni throughout the country and the world, and its environmental law program is consistently ranked among the top three in the nation. The Law School is recognized for excellence in other areas as well, including but not limited to its international, criminal justice, public interest law, and clinical training and skills programs. The Law School offers full-time and part-time day J.D. programs, as well as a January Accelerated Program that provides students the opportunity to complete law school in two and a half years instead of three. Also offered are the Master of Laws degrees in Comparative Legal Studies and Environmental Law, including the nation's first graduate-level programs in Climate Change and Land Use and Sustainable Development, and a Doctor of Laws degree in Environmental Law. The Law School is part of Pace University, a comprehensive, independent, and diversified university with campuses in New York City and Westchester County.

Conduct hearings to recommend or make decisions on claims concerning government programs or other government-related matters. Determine liability, sanctions, or penalties, or recommend the acceptance or rejection of claims or settlements.
Arbitrators, Mediators, and Conciliators
Facilitate negotiation and conflict resolution through dialogue. Resolve conflicts outside of the court system by mutual consent of parties involved.
Judges, Magistrate Judges, and Magistrates
Arbitrate, advise, adjudicate, or administer justice in a court of law. May sentence defendant in criminal cases according to government statutes or sentencing guidelines. May determine liability of defendant in civil cases. May perform wedding ceremonies.
Law Teachers, Postsecondary
Teach courses in law. Includes both teachers primarily engaged in teaching and those who do a combination of teaching and research.
