What exactly is the accelerated Medical school program at UCR. I understand it is seven years, but is it four years of undergraduate, followed by three years of medical school?

I think what you're talking about is the Thomas Haider Program at the University of California Irvine. You can read a full description of the program on Irvine's medical school site.

Students take four years of undergraduate classes and two years of medical training at UC Riverside. They then finish their third and fourth years of med school at UCLA and its affiliated institutions. As you may have noticed, the program is 8 rather than 7 years long; however, you should call the school to double check and make sure that there aren't still options to take an accelerated track. You can reach the medical school either by calling (951) 827-4568, or by emailing [email protected].

Best of luck and feel free to ask more questions as they arise!
