Student, Schuylkill Valley High School, Class of 2016,
At Schuylkill Valley High School, there are numerous extracurricular activities that students can participate in. The most popular extracurricular activity are sports, such as, soccer, football, volleyball, etc.. As a team member of the SVHS varsity girls soccer team, I strongly encourage many of the students to join the team. So, I would most definitely recommend participating on a sports team. Another very popular club is PYEA, which stands for Pennsylvania Youth Education Association. In this club, students volunteer to do committee service, such as, organize a blood drive and donate blood, help at winter festivities at our elementary school, and help raise money for charity. Lastly, Service club at our school is highly favored. The students who belong to this club volunteer at sport events, like keep scores at wrestling matches, go to local parks and pick up litter, and other various community service acts. I highly recommend being in PYEA and Service club because not only do you get to volunteer for just one club, but you are doing double the service for your community in which you can gives back twice the amount of other people.
