St. Catherine's Montessori does make accommodations for what it calls mild learning differences. It does not automatically exclude any student regardless of the learning differences he or she may experience, but encourages parents to discuss their expectations and needs with the staff in advance.

I recommend calling the school at (713) 665-2195 and describing your needs. If the faculty and staff members don't believe they have the resources to help your child they should let you know.

Here is a list of schools with special needs programs in the Houston area. If none of these schools meet your needs, feel free to write back with a more specific explanation of your daughter's learning differences and someone at Noodle will try to find a better match!

Lastly, Noodle has quite a collection of articles and advice on learning differences and disabilities. There is information from other parents as well as education experts and there may be something here that's directly applicable to your situation.

Best of luck!
