Minnetonka is a very academically competitive high school with above average standards. A student who doesn't take their school work seriously will not be fit for this school. It is important that this student has good communication skills as well. If they miss a day of school or need to make up a test they will need to reach out to their teacher. Students are expected to seek out help if they need it. In order to keep up with the school's standards, a student at Minnetonka should be well-rounded and get involved in our community. There are plenty of volunteer clubs within our school, but students are strongly encouraged to go out of their way to help their community while bettering themselves.

Students who need one on one attention with a teacher should not attend Minnetonka High School. The classes are large and most teachers tell students to rely on help from their peers. Students with social and general anxiety disorders also struggle at Minnetonka due to the large class sizes and high pressure put on students.
