One of the main reasons is because the tuition is much more affordable than the tuition at a 4-year college or university. The second reason is because it is a much smoother transition from living at home in high school to living on campus in a dorm at a 4-year college. Students are able to commute to the county college instead of staying away from their families and homes for several weeks. The third reason is because the professors at the county college are much more approachable for extra help and tutoring than the professors at a 4-year college or university.

The top three reasons someone should attend CCM are: the school saves you money as the tuition for two years is a lot less than you would be paying at a four year school; you can get your prerequisites done so that when you transfer, you can focus on your major; and, if you don't know what you want to do for a major or a career, you can figure it out without having to get in debt.
