Student Government is very popular, leadership is definitely a strong point for us. In addition to leadership, our Skate for Change club is very popular as well as we give to the needy such as volunteering at homeless shelters. Lastly, our TOGA club is big as well as we tutor at our local feeding middle school.

The musical theater department of my high school is truly amazing. We have about 80 students audition every year, and everybody gets in! I've done it for three years, and I really recommend it if you want to make great friends and hilarious memories. Another fun extracurricular is FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes). I've done this club for three years as well, and it's very popular. Every other Thursday a guest pastor comes and talks with us, and I always leave our meetings with a new inspiration to be the best person I can be. Finally, I'd recommend Key Club. It's always the biggest extracurricular activity, but they do a great job of communicating when our volunteering projects are. It's an awesome way to give back to our community!

The most popular extracurricular activities at Redwood are also the most time consuming. Peer Resource is a popular program, the student newspaper the Bark is also has many members (I am one of the "Barkies" as we like to call ourselves), and their are many students involved in Leadership. These are very common activities to join at Redwood, but they are all time consuming, adding on an extra class for some or taking up a class period within the middle of the day. I would recommend Peer Resource and Bark because they provide students with hands-on opportunities to interact with their peers and the material they work with.
