The type of student who should not attend Binghamton University is one who just wants to party and have the "college experience." Binghamton University is not a school to go to if you do not want to do the work and you want to spend the majority of your time slacking off. Someone who slacks off in their schooling at Binghamton University will have an extremely difficult time being able to receive their diploma.

A student who should not attend SUNY at Binghamton is a student who is unwilling to work hard. This school is very challenging academically, and if one is not ready to put in 100% they should not go to Binghamton. It is up to the students to use the resources available on campus, so being lazy is another reason not to attend.

The type of students that should not attend Binghamton University include lazy, disorganized and self-doubting. The reason these characteristics are so important is because Binghamton works through making the student learn by themselves. Most of the classes I have taken require a lot of outside work making yourself responsible to stay motivated. This is important because after one's college career ends that skill will be highly valuable to be successful in life.

Hardworking and open minded students should attend Binghamton University. This is because at this school students will be challenged academically, socially, and every way possible. There are many clubs and organizations you can join while at Binghamton. There is a lot of Greek life, both professional and social. So I believe if you are a student who is hardworking and ready to absorb and learn the plethora of information, then Binghamton is right for you. I also believe the student should be one that is ready to take initiative. At Binghamton, there are many resources available to the student, and it is up to the student to take advantage of them. There is a great career services office at Binghamton, and here they provide help with resumes, mock interviews, as well as many other services. If you are a student in need of financial help, there are work study jobs that you can apply for.

SUNY at Binghamton is NOT the place for you if you don't want to save at least half of a private school's tuition and fees. It's not for you if you don't like nature, and if you don't want to experience the seasons changing right before your eyes. Not interested in research, sports, the arts, social issues, and the environment? Definitely do not go to SUNY Binghamton. A Student that is not interested in any of these things would not enjoy Binghamton at all!
