Anonymous,

Any student that does not want to be apart of something bigger than themselves. The Virginia Tech community is close and there is no avoiding it. We have had a few tragedies here and it has made us stronger. The bond between the students, falculty, community and alum is one that may frighten someone who is not looking to be apart of such a strong community. Any student looking to float through life alone would not feel at home here since the community would not let a student stand alone.

A student that should not attend Virginia Tech is one who is unaware of how lucky they truly are. Hokies are some of the luckiest people. Someone who does not recognize how blessed they are will not fit in at Virginia Tech.

Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University is not the school for students who expect everything to be handed to them. It is an academically challenging school that pushes students to think critically in every situation. The school is not a good fit for students who have to be the "popular" student whom everyone knows because it is a very large college.

Those who do not like the sense of community that Virginia Tech offers should not attend. Virginia Tech is a highly community oriented university with a diverse population., which is something you must appreciate.
